Lisbeth Andersen Klainguti
I started my career in the fashion capital of Paris where I studied fashion design. Having gained experience working for Chanel Haute Couture and John Galliano I launched my own line of evening and cocktail dresses, which became a tremendous succes and sold from my eponymous store in Copenhagen as well as through selected luxury retailers around the world.
For a while I took a break from fashion to devote my time to family life and motherhood, while moving first to Zürich then London and Hong Kong. The many years spent abroad are reflected in my designs which always have an international flair, mixed with a Nordic sense of aesthetics.
Now, with my children in their teens, I decided to get back to fashion and chose cashmere as I wear it myself all the time and felt there was a need for a cashmere brand with a feminine perspective.
Philosophy
The idea behind LA CASHMERE is to provide a feminine and sophisticated alternative to the many basic and unisex cashmere styles on the market. To create designs that are not only comfortable but also enhance and flatter the female figure and inspire women to be feminine. To work with texture, embroidery and various knitting techniques in order to make each sweater something special.
Many brands mix their cashmere with normal wool, but I believe a cashmere sweater should be 100% cashmere as it is softer, has a more luxurious sheen and will last longer. By using premium quality yarns only and the highest workmanship LA CASHMERE will last for years and years.
